Trevor McWhinney
Trevor started his professional broadcast and film career in 1994 when he began volunteering with Rogers Community Cable, shooting sporting events and local programming, which later gave him the opportunity to do an internship at BCTV. After gaining extensive knowledge in broadcasting, but being more interested in actual film making, Trevor went back to school and graduated near the top of his class from the Vancouver Film School in 1999 and immersed himself in the film industry even before he finished his finally exams. He is a member of the DGC and the WGC and has been producing and directing commercials, music videos and various other projects since 2001. Recently Trevor has been nominated for a music video of the year award for his efforts on KLB’s ‘Hearts on the Run,’ and has had the most excellent experience of working on films abroad in such countries as Romania, Germany and South Africa. As well as producing and developing his own projects, Trevor has been credited on dozens of feature films, TV movies and episodic television series.
